MedicalStudents.org.uk is intended for:

  • UK medical students enrolled at a recognised UK medical school
  • Educators and healthcare professionals accessing educational content
  • Anyone using the site for lawful educational purposes

You must be at least 18 years old to register for an account.

2. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate information when registering
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account
  • One account per person. Multiple accounts may be removed without notice

3. Student Verification

  • Professional email addresses are only available to verified medical students
  • You must provide genuine evidence of enrolment or student status
  • Submitting false or misleading verification documents is a breach of these Terms and may result in immediate account termination and referral to appropriate authorities
  • We reserve the right to require re-verification at any time

4. Professional Email Accounts

  • The @medicalstudents.org.uk email address is provided for professional and educational use
  • You must not use your email address for spam, harassment, impersonation, illegal activity, or any purpose that brings the platform into disrepute
  • Email accounts are subject to fair use quotas (default: 250MB). We reserve the right to adjust quotas at any time
  • We may suspend or terminate email accounts in breach of these Terms
  • On graduation or loss of student status, continued use is at our discretion
  • We do not access or read the contents of your mailbox

5. Acceptable Use

You must not:

  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or another user's account
  • Upload malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute content without permission
  • Use automated tools to interact with the platform
  • Misrepresent your identity or professional status

6. Content

All educational content on MedicalStudents.org.uk is provided for educational purposes only. See our Medical Disclaimer. Content is accurate to the best of our knowledge but may contain errors. Always refer to current GMC-approved guidelines for clinical decisions.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on MedicalStudents.org.uk (text, diagrams, question bank content, etc.) is the property of MedicalStudents.org.uk unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

8. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and professional email at any time if:

  • You breach these Terms
  • We are unable to verify your student status
  • Your account is inactive for an extended period
  • You request account closure

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MedicalStudents.org.uk is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the platform, including loss of data, service interruptions, or reliance on educational content for clinical decisions.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify registered users of significant changes by email.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
